All,

Bill Booth wrote an online court reservation system and has graciously offered it to the club.  This is an ‘as is’ system, it is not written for this club specifically, and we won’t be making ‘on request’ changes to it for us specifically.  We are the beta site, so there may be changes as we go along.

With this system, you will be able to check availability and/or reserve a court up to 7 days in advance online.  We will still post a daily reservation list (for the current day only) so that you can sign up for an available court on the current day from the bulletin board at the courts.  You will also be able to delete a future reservation online should you have a change of plans.  Only the person who made a reservation will be able to change that reservation or delete it.

You can access the system NOW to register as a user and get some experience with reserving courts.  The first reservation we will consider valid will be for May 4th and you should be able to make those reservations on April 28th.  Remember that any reservations you make for dates prior to May 4th is just for you to get some experience and will not be a valid reservation.

THERE WILL BE ONLY ONE RESERVATION SHEET POSTED ON THE BULLETIN BOARD AFTER MAY 3rd  AND THAT WILL BE FOR THE CURRENT DAY (you can reserve a court using that sheet for the current day if there are any courts available).  THE ONLY WAY YOU WILL BE ABLE TO RESERVE COURTS IN ADVANCE WILL BE WITH THE ONLINE SYSTEM.  SO PLEASE TAKE SOME TIME TO GET REGISTERED BEFORE THEN AND MAKE SURE YOU KNOW HOW TO USE IT.

We are in the process of entering reservations for all of the club functions into the system (like the drop in, ladder, etc.).

Access to the system is through the club website (www.grandpickleball.org) via the ‘Reserve Courts’ button on the menu bar at the top of the page.  This will lead you to a page that has two links, one to the reservation system and the other link to detailed instructions on how to make/delete a court reservation.

The system is very easy to use, but if after you have consulted the instructions and given it your best shot and you still have problems, you can contact Rob via email at rgartlan@cox.net.
