Hi Everyone,
We seem to have some questions/misunderstandings about the skill level drop in sharing time with the regular drop in. In an attempt to clear things up a little:
1. Courts 9-12 have been set aside during the summer for the skill level drop in. Signs are hanging up on courts 9 and 10 outlining which days are reserved for each skill level. If those courts are not being used by the skill level drop in by 8:10, they are freed up for regular drop in.
2. The purpose of the skill level drop in is to allow people of the same skill level to play together. It is up to the individual to determine whether they are at that skill level or not. There are skill level guidelines on the website (under skill levels), but we have no objective way to determine if you are at a particular skill level or not. We can't use ladder or tournaments, because not everyone plays in the ladder or tournaments. If you are not sure, or are 'working your way up', try playing in one of the courts with some of those players during the regular drop in. When you then feel like you can play at that level during the skill level, have a good time.
3. We only partitioned off some courts because people really liked the skill level drop in and during the summer, there is no good time to do that other than early in the morning, along with everything else we try to cram into that small time frame. If you have suggestions/opinions you would like to offer, please feel free to do so.....
