Team Pickleball
The Winter 2008 Team Pickleball League will consist of teams of 8 players. After sign-up, players will be ranked in 4 tiers by gender. The ranking will be done by a committee. Teams will be drawn at random, and consist of 1 man and 1 woman from each tier.
Matches will be played Fridays from Noon-2PM. Match play starts January 25th and ends April 11th. There will be no play Feb. 22nd and April 4th.
Captains will get subs for any missing players. If no subs are available, the appropriate games will be forfeited.
Subs: Subs have to be the same or lower level than the player they’re replacing, and the same gender. If you get players not already on the sub list, they must be willing to be added to the sub list. Verify their level before they play. (contact commissioners). Captains can try to get subs for their absent players for future matches at any time.
If a player cannot complete play during a match, he forfeits the game he’s playing, and all his following games. A 5-minute injury time-out is allowed.
Players must show up within 5 minutes after their game is called, or forfeit that game.
***Teams will play out all forfeited games, substituting a same gender player (closest level possible) for the missing player.
